About Us 

 Pan Podium is the brainchild of Robbie Joseph, PRO for the British Association of Steelbands. In the 1990s, Robbie was writing for the Socanews magazine and was able to establish a page dedicated to Pan entitled, ‘Down in the Panyard’. The page was used to promote the work of steelbands and pannists in the UK and around the World. In 1999, he made a proposal to the British Association of Steelbands to assist in producing a magazine dedicated to Pan, enabling him to continue to promote this amazing instrument, steelband activities and to highlight individuals within the steelband communities particularly in the United Kingdom as well as Europe, USA and the Caribbean.

Pan Podium was launched in the summer of 1999 and is the official magazine of the British Association of Steelbands. It is published biennially and already has an estimated readership in excess of 1000,000. It is circulated worldwide in particular  the United Kingdom, Europe, USA and the Caribbean.
