Regional Festival Series

A MASSIVE thank you to everyone involved in this year’s Regional Festival Series. Thousands of young musicians performed at festivals across the UK during February and March.

A very special thank you goes out to our local organisers, group leaders, participants and music mentors – we really couldn’t do it without you! Online entry for the 2014 Regional Festival Series will open from September.

The Regional Festival Series is sponsored by ABRSM, the exam board of the Royal Schools of Music and supported in Scotland by the Youth Music Initiative through Creative Scotland.

Young Artist Development Programme

Supported by the Vivendi Create Joy Fund, MFY is piloting an exciting new Young Artist Development Programme for young musicians, aged 14-21, who write their own material.

This 10 month programme will offer participants the opportunity to develop their musical writing style through collaborations with other young performers, working with and supported by experienced professional musicians, and to have their work performed in public on a national stage.
