UK NATIONAL JUNIOR STEELBAND PANORAMA 2026 ROUNDUP – EBONY STEEL BAND
The Ebony Steel Band Trust is a renowned London-based charity founded in 1969. Its youth division, the Ebony Junior Band (founded in 2013 by David Ijaduola), engages young people through steelpan music and regularly competes with high acclaim in events like the UK National Junior Panorama.
The Youth Arm of the prestigious Ebony Steelband Trust trains successive generations of young panists through their youth development program. Their performances regularly feature vibrant Panorama tune-and-choice selections via their arrangers and repertoire.

Foundation: Established in 2013 by David Ijaduola to nurture the next generation of pan players.

Classes and Training
Location: Operating out of North West London (such as the Yaa Centre).
Schedule: Offers regular free or sessional children's and youth steelpan training sessions alongside adult learning classes.
Progression: Talented students from the youth classes transition naturally into the main performance stageside and Panorama outfits

UK National Junior Steelband Panorama Winners 2025- Ebony Youth Steel Band. Arranger Carlene 'Sweet Wrists' Etienne musically arranged their rendition of Voice's 'Too Own Way' that saw them achieved 348 points to be victorious in the competition. Well done Carlene and Ebony Youths.

There are three steelbands vying for the title this year, Ebony Steelband– the reigning champions, Endurance Steel Orchestra and Croydon Steel Orchestra.
The event is hosted by NHC/BAS, and will be held on the 29th August 2026 at the Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park, Kensal Road, London W10 5EG.
The gates open at 4:00p.m. and the event ends at 12:00 a.m. with the Junior Panorama competition starting around 5:00 p.m. and the Main Panorama competition starting at 8:00p.m.
